Supporting adolescents enrolled in schools with the skills, behaviours, and support systems they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

  • 400 schools implementing life-skills and mental health curricula in accordance with the Framework.
  • 87 schools implementing academic and career counselling sessions in accordance with the Framework.
  • 800 teachers trained in life-skills and mental health curricula delivery.
  • 174 teachers trained in academic/career counselling delivery.
  • 87 in-school Youth Clubs established.

  • 12 Districts and 55 Development Blocks.

Note: It may be noted that although the PAD provides a component-wise budget breakdown, the project allows flexibility in the use of funds across components based on project needs and the nature of the activities, while the total project cost of ₹379.71 crore remains unchanged.

IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGIES

Strengthen adolescents in Grades 6–12 through school-based support

Improve foundational learning, especially literacy and numeracy.

Introduce life skills education including communication, decision-making, resilience, and wellbeing.

Provide career awareness and guidance to help adolescents explore future pathways.

Train teachers and strengthen school-based support systems.
